January 2026 News:

New album, Confidential, coming soon this year. Diane and the Gentle Men recorded new songs out at Atomic Studios with Merle Chornuk. Featuring Rob Clores, Jason Victor, Drew Montali and Randy Schrager. We recorded 11 tracks over 3 days. Some of the song titles are: “All You Ever Wanted”, “Piece of the Sun”, “Walrus”, “Sweet Whispers” and more. I’ve had my share of trying records that didn’t feel natural but I am really excited to say that I feel my voice has come to being on these new songs.

Many of us don’t take enough time to close our eyes and listen to a full record from start to finish, and experience the vast and varied feelings and emotions that emerge through the words and lyrics. I know that with all the anger and hatred going on in the world today, my safe haven is a record. I make time to zone into an album at least once a month: Neil Young, Lucinda Williams,Tom Waits or Leonard Cohen on vinyl is like chocolate ice cream with whipped cream and walnuts with hot fudge and a cherry. I know when I want to dance, I pull out a Stones album. I love listening to Todd Rundgren and T-Rex and I get a great deal out of a Sinead O’Connor, Kate Bush, Lana Del Ray, Aretha Franklin, Amy Whinehouse or Annie Lennox. I have a love for Kurt Vile, Courtney Barnett and definitely and always The Waterboys! I’ll listen to Leah Hennessey any time - she’s a kick ass singer and one of the most interesting new artists of the day. Of course, I worked with some greats - like Jesse Malin and Jeff Klein - and those records get pulled out occassionally too. But right now, my time and energy is going into finishing Confi. And I can’t wait to share it all with you.
